1 Introduction

The SUSFUTURE 2024 International Sustainable Fashion Invitation Exhibition, themed "From Tradition to Future - A Journey of Sustainable Fashion," is jointly organised by Sustainable Future - Fashion & Textiles, Global Sustainable Fashion Week, and the World Textile University Alliance. This international exhibition aims to facilitate cooperation and exchange among sustainable design professionals worldwide, advocating for designs and innovations that marry sustainability with style. It endeavours to encourage the fusion of traditional cultural heritage with forward-thinking design, while also raising public awareness of sustainable fashion practices. By showcasing their creations and promoting cross-cultural exchange, the exhibition aims to advance global design and innovation while highlighting diverse creative talents. Dedicated to bridging the gap between tradition and the future through sustainability, it invites global creators to share their creativity and contribute to the advancement of a more sustainable creative industry. We cordially invite you to participate in this global exhibition of sustainable design innovation.

3 IMPORTANT DATE & EXHIBITION VENUE

Notification of Acceptance: 10 May 2024

In order to ensure that artists from around the world can view the exhibition, we have arranged a special online exhibition alongside the physical venues

 

Exhibition Venue:

The allocation of exhibits will be based on the exhibition space and display effects, with displays across on-site and online venues.

- Venue 1: The Jardin × IEGO ART, Taipei

- Venue 2: Art Gallery(5F), Design College, Hsing Wu University, New Taipei

The selected excellent artworks will be showcased through an online gallery at https://www.ippd-sft.com

4 ELIGIBILITY

By invitation only to professionals within the sustainability-related design field.

5 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Each submission should consist of ONE design piece related to sustainability, encompassing clothing, accessories, textiles, or items related to the body. The submission can be in the form of photographs of physical design items or digitally generated design images. 

6 SUBMISSION PROCESS

Please adhere to the following steps for a successful submission.

​

  • Kindly prepare the following documents:

- Registration form

- Images of 1 artwork (one full view and one detail shot): named "Surname_Artwork_Full" and "Surname_Artwork_Detail"

- Applicant's portrait photo in colour and high resolution: Named "Surname_profile"

- As part of the submission, artists have the option to include a 1-3 minute recorded video titled "surname_video". This video, if provided, will be used for exhibition purposes and artist promotion. It should be recorded in landscape orientation with the applicant facing the camera. In the video, artists are encouraged to share their thoughts on "Tradition and Future, Sustainability and Fashion, and Life".

  • Upload all the above documents to a cloud storage service, such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Baidu Netdisk, etc.

​​

  • Send the download link for the folder containing all documents to exhibition@susfuture.org with the subject "SUS_INV_Surname_Artwork Title".

7 ARTWORK & IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

Artwork Type (select one type):

  • Photographs of physical designs: photographs of their physical designs.

  • Digital designs: digitally generated artworks.

Image Requirement:

Each applicant is required to submit images of ONE artworks, adhering to the following specifications:

  • Image format: JPG

  • Resolution: 300 DPI (dots per inch)

  • Image dimensions: Approximately between A2 (420mm × 594mm) and A0 (841mm × 1189mm).

  • File size limit: minimum of 5 MB

Additional requirements:

Applicants for participation in the exhibition must own the copyright of the visuals (including images and video) and allow the exhibition organizers permission to use the images of the artworks free of charge for exhibition and subsequent related promotional and publicity purposes. Applicants should ensure that they possess the necessary rights and permissions for all submitted artwork. 

8 BENEFITS

Exhibition Participation Certificate: 

Participants will receive digital Exhibition Participation Certificates jointly issued by Sustainable Future in Fashion & Textile, Global Sustainable Fashion Week, and the World Textile University Alliance for the International Design Invitation Exhibition after exhibition.

Fashion Magazine and Media Exposure: 

Artists will be interviewed by BODY - a fashion magazine partnered with this exhibition, providing detailed coverage of the artists and their work. 

​

A Digital Magazine with artists’ information: 

All artists for the exhibition will receive a digital magazine entitled BODY, specially curated for this event. The magazine will include information about the exhibition and introductions to the artworks featured during that period.

9 TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. This invitation exhibition is exclusively for specifically invited artists and is not open to the public for submissions.

  2. In the event of disparities between the artworks submitted by invited artists and the theme and requirements of the exhibition, the organizing committee reserves the right to determine whether the artworks of invited artists may participate in the exhibition.

  3. Regarding the exhibition venue, the organizers will plan according to the submitted images of the artworks and the exhibition space.

  4. Participants must possess all moral and intellectual property rights to their submitted artworks.

  5. Artworks must be submitted in digital format, adhering to the specifications listed in the submission form.

  6. Submissions containing material contravening laws or infringing upon third-party rights will not be accepted.

  7. Applicants authorize the organizing committee and the organizers to use the images, videos, and textual information provided for activities related to the event's promotion, etc.

  8. Applicants guarantee that the submitted artworks are original and do not infringe upon existing copyrights, and any images containing personal likenesses must be authorized by the models.

  9. If accepted artworks significantly differ from the submitted images, the exhibition committee reserves the right to revoke participation.

  10. Additionally, in cases of disputes concerning copyrights or other legal matters related to exhibited artworks, the exhibition organizers and management shall not bear any legal responsibility.

  11. In case of force majeure or events unforeseeable, unavoidable, and uncontrollable by the organizer, including but not limited to earthquakes, catastrophic weather conditions, war, strikes, riots, outbreaks of epidemic diseases, government regulations, etc., the organizer reserves the right to modify, extend, or shorten the exhibition schedule. Exhibitors shall not be entitled to any compensation under such circumstances.

  12. The English version shall prevail for all exhibition and registration information.

  13. The ultimate interpretation of all terms and conditions lies with the event's organizing committee, host, and curatorial team.
